catching my breath

March and April have been a little bit wild around here with three birthdays, a road trip, Easter camping and some Home Education items due in. I have been a little overwhelmed and completely pooped.
I feel as if just now I'm catching my breath and readying myself for the next term. One way for me to do that is to continualy tell myself to s l o w down and enjoy this moment and if I can't enjoy it then accept it. This helps me allow for beauty in all shapes and sizes, even when its disguised by chaos or ugliness.

Enjoying the fact that my big girl can make cookies all on her own..
Accepting the mess and bickering when the younger ones want to 'help'...

Easter Holidays: camping at Cotten Tree

right now

nature table~ we found the biggest hairy caterpillar ever and I was happy to have it as far away as possible but no he ended up on the nature table.
Second-hand~ the $10 typewriter I got from a secondhand book shop was set up on the table ready to make some messages by eldest girl.
Old~ two things from my childhood which recently came into my hands and have made me so happy as I thought that most was gone. These silver candle holder's were my Grannies, they are so old and beautiful and the green velvet mirror was ours and I had completely forgotten it until my dad pulled it out from under his house. At first I wasn't sure but brought it home anyway and now I am so glad I did because I actually think it is vintage loveliness.
Grateful~ I never want to forget how every time my girl takes Missy for a walk down our street she brings me back simple beauty because she knows I love them.

Little Miss Princess is 3

A pretty, pinkish celebration for this girly girl. Three is such a delightful age as the little person shines forth in new independence at all things they can do.

nine girl

Nine!! Nine. These kids, what are they doing to me! It just feels like we've celebrated one birthday and another glance and they're a year older.
This one. This big girl of mine. She has always seemed older than what she is, she lives so fully, loves completely and gives generously.
She is my Wildflower.
So determined, imaginative and incredibly feisty.
A lover and seer of all things beautiful...

moments on a monday

- dozing
- his handmade nature journal with first entry
-pink elephant mask-ellie
-her love of elephants and excitement of meeting some soon at Dubbo Zoo

- his very long trunk and all his six year old boyishness
There very much is beauty in the chaos.

the three/nine party

My girls are full of sweetness and feistiness and I am a little in awe of being apart of the miraculous unfolding of beauty that is before me.

party plans

'I'm three soon'.
These three words have been said many times from the littlest Bella bear and now the week before her birthday excitement and birthday chatter abounds. Invitations are ready, and we are busying ourselves with making cards, sewing gifts, discussing party games and party food and generally anticipating the party for our two girls. Yes, a joint celebration : big girl turning nine soon and littlest one turning three. A mixture of blues and pinks.
