days of summer ~ 17

:: A table full of folding to be put away: very satisfying to see it go from 3 baskets of mountainous mess to neat piles but oh, the putting away...my least favourite part of doing laundry. What is yours?

The putting away I don't mind - it's the actual hanging out I don't like. That and the fact that those darn kids just keep on wearing the clean clothes *sigh*.
(Popped in here from Melissa's blog :) Your blog is lovely :)

Thanks Scapsister.
I actually love being outside hanging washing on the line, well most of the time. My kids will just throw their clothes in the wash whether they are dirty or not just because its easier than folding them & putting back away. And my girl she'll change at least once during the day. Ahh, the joys...

I agree about the putting away, sometimes I delay to my own frustration as it becomes the boys playing ground and ends up on the floor:/ The hanging up is a lovely way of getting us all outside x

I actually don't mind washing or putting the clothes away (but remember I don't have 4 children like you skye or scrapsister) but I do hate ironing. I hang our shirts and t-shirts on hangers on the line (even Jack's) and then they go straight in the cupboard when they are dry. (saves folding and ironing) Hubby has a workshirt that doesn't need ironing and we don't have school uniforms (well our flannel pj's don't need ironing) so i am very blessed. If hubby needed business shirts i would be in trouble...

Our children do all of the ironing and putting away, but they earn pocket money for it. We pay base pocket money for all inside jobs, but they earn extra for ironing other people's clothes and all outside jobs.

It took a while to train them in the correct way of doing things, but I feel that it is important to teach all children to iron correctly.

Mind you, our children are 12 and 15. I don't have any little children. ;)

Now, just to make you feel more popular, i will stop my rudeness and comment!!! I'm not into the hanging out thing, infact, I am forever leaving loads unintentionally in the machine as I try and squeeze laundry into the smallest window's in my day! Come to think of it, my hubby has much better follow through when it comes to laundry - a wonderful gift I know!!
You inspire me as always in this place skye xx M

Definitely the putting away - but perhaps it's because that's the part Matt is most likely to make me help with....
