the smell of old

I picked up a whole bunch of books recently at a second-hand bookstore. The ones above and a whole bunch more plus an old typewriter in such good condition. I was in that store for an hour and a half having such fun-and bringing htem home seeing them all paired of with a new owner was a very kind of wonderful.

Hi Skye.
I love a second hand book store - could be happily lost in there for hours! The Pictorial Social Studies are a real find! We have 2 in the series.
Am loving your blog - great pics :)

Hi Skye!
I followed you over from Melanie's blog so just saying hi. I have been over here before but not for a while. You have the home schoolers addiction....a love of books, especially the oldies!
I love your creative looking posts as well.

Hi Skye,
I love the smell of old books, too, but I also like the smell of some new ones. :)

Have a wonderful weekend,
Blessings,

heh there Skye isnt lovely when the kids actually enjoy looking through these old books? I picked up an old copy of Sara Dane before xmas and what a great read, also turning the pages which were yellowed and musty.
